This week @LaAcera brought an Illustrious Guest and a new writer (student leader Ivan Chaar-Lopez) into the forum that is La Acera. Topics included Abortion and the Pro/choice/life debates, the UPR Strike, Israel and Palestine and a new episode of "Pa Que Tu Lo Sepas", among many more articles. This week has been full of comments and debate here at La Acera, from the UPR debates to Museum adventures and jazz nights, to the inner debates a photographer faces and the other coin of infidelity. We were graced with three Illustrious Guest postings, including one from a group of Professors from the UPR.

The debates continue to rage on La Acera this week. Two different visions on how to rebuild Haiti combined with strong comments on each one. The UPR debates continue and now, with pictures! Ricky Martin isn't a hero to the LGBT community, he's a hypocrite

A week closer to Easter and La Acera hasn't stopped buzzing. This week brought humor, love, international politics and travel as well as a re-ignition of the Puerto Rico Cultural Wars. Basically, a typical week in your local sidewalk.

As with all weeks, this one was not without controversy or news. On Monday we suffered a server outage which took us offline for most of the day. For this, La Acera is terribly sorry and hopes that it does not happen again.

On the other hand, this week welcomed a few new writers:
Noah, a Seattle native who will be sharing his perspective and thoughts
GMO, a full time poet, retired sociologist and lawyer in training
Maya West, our local resident in the far side of the island who will engage us with tales of life in the western part of the island
LM, a musician by night, legal expert by day and all around mystery.
Captain Clorox, a man who needs no introduction but will be sure to cause alot of controversy on La Acera

A new week brings even better articles than the week before that. Porn stars were interviewed, "piti-yankees" were discussed, Haiti was revisited, culture and business flourished, and the curse of the inconsiderate parking spot was blasted.
